Security is an increasingly important issue for businesses, schools, retailers and householders. One of the best forms of deterrence and protection is Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). This can be set up both inside and outside a building, monitoring the perimeter and access points. The film can be automatically archived on a hard drive and the live image from each camera can be viewed in-house or remotely via an internet link. Passive Infra-Red (PIR) activation and one- or two-way audio communication can be included.
For domestic purposes, it can be very reassuring to be able to check who is at the front door before opening it (and there can be an audio link to communicate with them) or to monitor a sleeping child, or keep an eye on the babysitter, nanny or workmen.
