Although many people regard videocassettes as yesterday’s technology, they are still popular in some sectors. Combined VCR/DVD recorders are available if you need to use both options, but at present DVD seems to be the primary medium for many AV requirements.

What the future holds remains to be seen, will Blu-Ray discs become the system of choice or will digital storage take over?
