Drayton Manor

The Challenge

Drayton Manor Resort is a staple of the British theme park industry - one that has no end of guests excitedly coming through the gates. But the same can’t be said for its internal meeting rooms which employees were less than thrilled to use.

Each meeting room available for them to use had a slightly different AV set up. Equipment was disparate, untrustworthy and difficult to use. So whether it was a team meeting with colleagues in the room or remote meeting with colleagues from the wider Looping Group - Drayton Manor’s owners - the room set ups meant they went unused.

The Solution

Drayton Manor’s Andrew Davies looked to Shure’s technology lineup for an answer and settled on Shure’s IntelliMix® Room Kits. Then Project Audio Visual with its expertise in meeting room spaces were called on to integrate the systems into the rooms at Drayton Manor.

The room kit solutions were tailored to the size of the rooms but put together with the same principle in mind; create seamless integration with Microsoft Teams, prioritise plug-and-play setup for users and provide studio-quality audio, all with a single system.

The Shure IntelliMix Room Kit is an all-in-one room conferencing kit which comes with the IntelliMix Foundation System with pre-installed IntelliMix Room DSP Software, a control touch panel, network switch as well as a MXA902 integrated ceiling array microphone and loudspeaker and Huddly IQ USB camera.

The Result

The way that Shure has designed its IntelliMix Room Kits is for ease. So that means users like Drayton Manor get everything they need in a single solution offering and benefit from a smooth and hassle-free installation process, without needing to be trained on multiple disparate systems.

Thanks to this, and to Project Audio Visual’s integration expertise, the transformation of the meeting rooms was immediate. The system gives users the ability to join a meeting with a single touch, provides reliability and crystal-clear audio and high quality video.

“No one's frightened of using the rooms anymore. They just work.”

Andrew Davies, Head of Resorts Maintenance, Drayton Manor.
