Case Studies:

Kearney x Unscripted

The Challenge

Global consultancy firm Kearney has been rethinking what the office should mean in today’s hybrid era. With employees splitting time between home, office and on-the-move, the workplace needed to become more than just a desk farm, it had to be a destination that supports collaboration, creativity, and connection in equal measure.

Kearney turned to interior design and build specialist Unscripted to design spaces that truly reflect modern ways of working. From hybrid-ready meeting rooms to collaborative brainstorming zones and social spaces that encourage culture, every corner needed to be purposeful and seamless. To get there, AV couldn’t be an add-on. It had to be part of the fabric of the building, blending with the design aesthetic while empowering people to work smarter, not harder.

The Solution

Unscripted brought in Project Audio Visual from day one, a collaboration that both teams credit as transformative to the process.

Rather than the AV having to work around the design, the technology became part of the creative dialogue. This meant Unscripted could design every space with seamless tech integration in mind, with aesthetics and functionality fully supported by PAV’s technical expertise.

Highlights of the Design-Driven AV Integration
  • Meeting rooms: Seven professional-grade video conferencing rooms deliver true hybrid equity, with intuitive one-touch join and intelligent camera tracking to ensure remote participants are always included.
  • Commercial area: A flexible town hall space supports large-scale presentations and client events, featuring integrated audio zones and screen positioning that were refined collaboratively to suit changing use cases.
  • Phone booths: Private, soundproofed pods, optimised for call clarity and acoustic comfort.
  • Brainstorm room: An interactive table and collaboration tools support ideation sessions, with tech integrated into custom joinery for a clean, minimal look.
  • Reception: Digital signage blends with the architectural materials, delivering live information and brand messaging without disrupting visual flow.
  • Sports room and Play room: A multipurpose breakout space featuring AV systems for sport, music and events, reflecting the architectural vision of work-life balance and social connection.
  • Desks: 81 workstations equipped with 34” widescreen monitors, designed into the furniture specification from the outset to preserve the sleek workspace design.

The Result

The Kearney office in Düsseldorf is already shaping up to be a shining example of the future of workplace design. With early and equal collaboration between PAV and Unscripted, the project is laying the foundations for a space where technology and architecture work in harmony. Every screen, mic and speaker is being considered from the start, setting the stage for a workplace that’s as intuitive as it is inspiring.

This multi-phase installation is transforming Kearney’s German office into a blueprint for the firm’s global workplace redesigns. With AV integrated seamlessly into the architecture, the spaces will not only support hybrid work but also inspire employees to connect, create, and collaborate in new ways.

“Normally AV is brought in at the end, but with PAV involved from the start, we could design the spaces holistically. It meant fewer compromises and a much better end result. We usually work this way with furniture and flooring companies, so doing it with AV was totally logical. I can’t imagine going back.

“Having AV involved from the start improved the whole design. The dialogue between our team and PAV meant we could solve challenges before they happened. For me, it’s now the gold standard.”
