Westfield Shopping Centre, a large shopping centre in White City, west London, required a showstopping in-store digital signage display that would play seasonal content to captivate shoppers. The challenge was finding a display technology that seamlessly wrapped around a fixed column.
We selected a Dynascan LED display for its ability to curve around the column, leaving a continuous digital image without seams. As this was a unique installation, we partnered with Dynascan to custom design, build and install the display.
We built and tested the display in our internal warehouse to meet the strict timescale and ensure minimal on-site technical issues. This guaranteed a quick and easy installation, with the display being installed and commissioned within 24 hours of arrival in the UK.
To display our client's content on the curved LED display, we installed a BrightSign media player. This allows the content to be altered remotely, making it easy for our client to keep up with seasonal branding changes. BrightSign signage offers HD video quality and a solid-state platform from which you can stream presentations and live TV, amongst other visual elements.
The curved video column provides an effective platform to spread brand awareness through the use of on-brand graphics, imagery, and video content. It also grabs the attention of passersby from a distance.
The LED curved display column is a relatively unique set-up in the UK. Since installing the column in Westfield Shopping Centre, we have been inundated with enquiries for similar products. We are proud to be part of the trend-setting process within our industry.
